There’s Something I Can’t Quite Say
PoetryVipin Kumar Sharma
A heartfelt confession of love that struggles to be spoken, yet longs to be understood. Will silence keep them apart, or will love finally find its voice?
There’s something I can’t quite say,
Won’t you feel it anyway?
This restless heart, this silent plea—
Can’t you understand what’s wrong with me?
When from the world I lose the fight,
You’re the one that feels so right.
But why, oh why, does it feel so?
Please tell me, love, I need to know.
When we’re apart, you're on my mind,
In dreams, it’s only you I find.
And when I’m near, my eyes just stay—
On you, and never drift away.
Your silence cuts, it makes me ache,
But be the cure, for my heart's sake.
I still recall that golden day,
When first we met—love found its way.
A flower bloomed within my soul,
Its scent still makes my spirit whole.
So like that bloom, just let love grow,
And let your warmth again bestow.
Today, I live with thoughts of you,
Each dream I weave, each sky I view.
But when I’m gone, and silence calls,
You’ll wish you spoke—inside those walls.
Don’t let regret come claim your heart,
Let’s kill the pain before it starts.
Come in my arms, just hold me tight,
Let love dissolve our every fight.
Forget the wounds, the scars, the blame,
Let’s set alight love’s dying flame.
Say those words, so deep, so true—
The ones I long to hear from you.
Just come to me… I’m waiting so,
Oh darling, please… now let love flow.
